I have worked, at director level, for some of the giants of the engineering world – including global firms Arup and Atkins – which has given me a tremendous insight not only into the diverse disciplines of renewables, sustainability and carbon reduction, but also business processes, people development, and innovation.
My passion for sustainability and my vision for making the most of existing buildings was fostered at Arup, where I jointly authored the Arup Existing Buildings Survival Strategies Guide, explaining how to re-energise tired assets and reduce operational costs; importantly showing how sustainability adds business value. Copies are available for free download on the UK Green Building Council Website. Click Useful Links for more details.
I built upon my early chartered status (C Eng) when I subsequently joined Atkins to successfully further their business and staff growth - despite the recession of the 1990s. Along the way I was able to gather invaluable experience and hone my skills in marketing, recruitment, consultancy and client account management within the private and public sectors.
My experience at Atkins began by starting the environmental (building services) practice in Leeds in 1989 and culminated in helping to transform the company into one of the few architecturally-led multidisciplinary practices in Europe.
In June 2009, after listening to many of my clients, I founded PASCHALi Greener Working Solutions - a practice providing tailor-made sustainable engineering and management support to organisations working in the built environment.
My aim is to help you cut through the myriad of sustainability legislation, regulation and noise to ensure real value is added to your business. I can deliver this with customised building engineering, project management, and business improvement services.
I can promise that this advice will be unbiased and impartial and is provided with an unrivalled high level of quality service at amazingly competitive rates.
I look forward to providing bespoke solutions for you soon
With kind regards
Barry Paschali
